I just found your blog from your reader ...Hi Sara,

I just found your blog from your reader redesign -- great patio -- on This Young House.

My husband and I bought a Tempur-pedic mattress 5 years ago and I am so thankful that we did -- every single night and morning. We love it. I am downright evangelical about it, and encourage friends to lie down on it, and then get one for themselves. We haven't had any trouble with sagging, and I weigh 200 pounds and my side of the bed is as firm as ever.

Yes, it is hot to begin with, but either we got used to it, or it gets cooler over time, because I never notice that anymore. On really cold nights, the mattress is hard and cold until your body heat warms it up, and then you'll never want to get out.

Hope you love it!
CarolineAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4149136651520192500.post-14960260568761907272009-12-01T19:12:59.985-08:002009-12-01T19:12:59.985-08:00Found your blog today via Young House Love. He and his wife have had theirs for several years and they love it. I know this opinion is a bit after the fact as I'm browsing through old posts, but a quality mattress is an investment in your current health and possibly even future health.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00172636187611286057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4149136651520192500.post-92046520190170690902009-12-01T12:37:11.957-08:002009-12-01T12:37:11.957-08:00We have a king size. They will replace it when there is more than an inch or so of sag when no one is lying in it. It is already sagging that much again. It is hot, and there are a lot of fumes when you first get it. On the other hand, it feels great, is very very comfortable, and was wonderful while I was pregnant. I would not buy another one of these beds, and wish I had known more about them when we bought this one. I would have opted for a top of the line organic mattress or spent the $5K elsewhere.Erinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4149136651520192500.post-33849408883289511222009-11-30T11:55:08.960-08:002009-11-30T11:55:08.960-08:00A good night's sleep is priceless. I don't know if it's because it was just a 4" topper and not the real thing, or if I'm just not a memory foam kinda gal, but it made my back hurt and I gave it to my brother. I don't think he uses it anymore either. Do they let you try it out for a few days in case you hate it? As far as the money goes, you're right: if it's in your budget, it's worth it for something you use for 1/3 of your life. I hope you like it!Amandahttp://www.hiphousegirl.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4149136651520192500.post-34804420441127689302009-11-29T18:53:39.367-08:002009-11-29T18:53:39.367-08:00I think you should go with your gut...if its in yo...I think you should go with your gut...if its in your budget and your sure about get it -- if it's impluse buy....I might do more research and then decide - GLAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11784825966340743698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4149136651520192500.post-42444414960760884522009-11-29T17:47:47.170-08:002009-11-29T17:47:47.170-08:00Sorry, I don't know anything about tempur-pedi...Sorry, I don't know anything about tempur-pedics. However, I do think your logic about spending this much money on something you use every night makes a lot of sense. And since sleep (or lack thereof) affects so many other parts of our life, it's probably worth it!
