RIP Squash

Well, my squash plants have officially bit the dust.
I guess with the frequent waterings, the soil level went down enough that the stems were exposed.  Before I realized what was happening, the stems were soft and rotten.  I blame the abundance of leaves for my misfortune!  But I can't say I'm that upset, I got some crazy zucchinis off this plant and I'm really sick of watering it, anyway.  Frankly, I'm tired of super heat, swarms of mosquitos and eyebrow sweat in general.  Are you with me?

  12. My peppers want to be friends with your squash plants. Although they might have actually made it if they didn't get completely crushed by my ginormous tomato plants! lol

  13. We're on our 7th heat wave of the summer! I've been gardening for 5 years and my plants are struggling with all this heat. I feel your pain.

My plum tomatoes never did get right...

  17. This has been a really sweaty summer, yuck! I'm done watering too. So glad most of the gardens can hold on and not be watered like crazy like last year.
