I designed everything in Publisher using free fonts from dafont.com, and my sparkling wit and creativity. The Tiffany Blue pocketfold, white cardstock, and red envelopes are from paperandmore. I highly recommend them, the 80# cardstock went easily through my home printer and looks wonderful! Here is how I closed them up:
My new last name will be Hilton, in case you were wondering! The inserts:
I made this map using a google map pasted into powerpoint, and the 'curve' tracing tool in the program. It turned out super cute, in my opinion!
And my favorite, the RSVP. I stole this wording from somewhere online, I couldn't resist making it funny! I realized too late there is no place for the guest to write their name, and also there is not a date to RSVP by. We numbered the backs according to guest, and are planning to make some phone calls if we haven't heard from people by end of April.
Everything was cut (by me) after printing, I got the 'Making Memories' paper trimmer from Michaels and I'm quite happy with it.
Shaun has logged a lot of hours positioning/attaching the red mats and invites to the pocketfolds. He looked so cute, I had to snap a pic of him in action.
So, internets, feel free to show up uninvited to the event. I thought about blurring out some things, but decided I'm sick, lazy, and I'll just be nice to any stalkers or crashers. That would make a pretty good blog post, eh?

Love the invitations! Their so fun!
Hope you start to feel better!
Perfect!! Hope you feel better soon...
Sara - I think it is well known around this blog that everything you do (or at least that you show us here in the BlogZone) turns out beautifully (see: woman-cave built-ins, your dressing room, the patio, etc, etc)...but, these wedding invitations really take the cake. Absolutely fantastic! And those RSVPs -- pure wedding gold. Good luck with everything!
those are awesome!!
Super cute! And they match your decor style (especially the room with the orange rug :-)
the rsvp is fun, love the invites! hope you feel better soon.
Girl, I am so impressed! I would never guess these were DIY if I got an invitation in the mail! You really did a bang up job, Mrs. Hilton!!!
I've just started reading your blog. Those invitations are wonderful. Great job!
They look amazing! I can't believe you did them yourself.
Now, go have some chicken soup.
I hope you feel better soon! You're invites are so nice and fun! It's awesome you and Shawn are making them together--we DIY'd ours as well and I think it was what Bryan and I had the most fun doing. SO, out of curiosity, how long have you and Shawn been together?

I L-O-V-E the invites. And the RSVP card is hilarious. Nice work!

Wow, absolutely love them! And really love the RSVP cards. Because they're so spot-on. : )
Cute! Our invites were DIY cut and paste on a backer too and I have to admit I kind of miss putting them all together and now get totally stoked when I get to round corners and use a paper cutter.
It's a glamorous life I lead!
So cool! You did a great job on the invites :) They look great!!
Those are SO AWESOME! Great job.
And I'm terribly, horribly sick too! 3 boxes of kleenex in 2 days. No fun at all.
These are FABULOUS! You did a great job!!! Feel better soon!
I enthusiastically accept ... but won't be able to attend.
Cute invitations and RSVPs ... they definitely make it completely yours.
They look terrific! Love the colors!
Ooh, so fancy and fun. Awesome RSVP. So very you.
And I admit, I checked out your wedsite. Looks like it will be quite the par-tay. Me & my eating pants are sad we won't be able to attend.

I love everything about those invitations!!! =] The colors are awesome.
Just lovely. No surprise there. You are so darn talented. I love the color combo. I'm thinking that's going to my guest room combo in the new house.
The rsvp is funny, and the invite is so cute. May is coming up quick!
Ok SERIOUSLY, these invitations are freaking AMAZING!!!!! I can't believe you made them!!!! And your dress?!!?? LOVE! You guys are SUCH a fun couple!!
You designed those??? They are gorgeous!
Stylish and DIY and perfect as usual!
You are so cute! All the best for your wedding!
Adorable invite! I hope you put a spot somewhere for names on the RSVP... otherwise you wont know who's responding!!
Aw man, I was totally going to make a crack about crashing your wedding since you didn't blur the address, but then you invited us all.
Also, you're making me want to DIY my invitations... those are super cute!
Love your invites -- I had a similar style. I wanted to be funny on the RSVP cards, but my guests wouldn't have got it. Hell, they were confused by the "I promise to dance if you play ________" spot. Humor would've spiraled out of control.
Hope you feel better! We were leveled by the flu and we're just now starting to feel human.
impressive invites! Your wedding looks like it is going to be so much fun.
i'm pretty sure that if you wanted to start a business designing stuff like that you could make millions....so fun and unique! feel better!
These are so fun! I love seeing the quirkiness come through!!! You are such a sweet person and I wish you the best in your wedding and marriage!
Thanks everyone!
Karrie - we've been together for 5.5 years. We've been engaged for 2.5 years, so that is why I have on the invite that we're 'finally tying the knot' after much procrastination! ha
I love your invite. I should have used that for our wedding. My hubby & I were together for over 13 years before finally got married! All the best to you both!!!
Awesome - I've always wanted to crash a wedding. ;) Seriously though, very cute. I made ours as well and nerdily enjoyed it. This would explain the complex invites I'm making for my sister's wedding....shower, lol.
Love it! We're crafting our own invites, too and I may be stealing the RSVP from you...just so you know. And thanks for the tip on where to get the pocketfold!
-Emily
PS If I was anywhere near Milwaukee (or WI for that matter) I would totally crash your wedding - I bet it's going to be fabulous! :)
Glad to find your blog via 6th street! your home is adorable.. and so is your wedding dress! I'm a new follower:)

Love these! The colors are fab. And I love how you DIYed it. I so wanted to do this for our wedding and got overwhelmed with the amount of time it would take. You go!
ok - first off I'm a professional designer and I haven't seen any wedding invites in my area as creative as this. Holy crap girl - well done! And I'm blown away by how awesome they look when you used publisher. YOU ROCK! I am so excited for you these are amazing and I love the RSVPS!!!
Your invites rock! Love the funky fonts and quirky wording. So fun. And I also have to add that I LOVE paperandmore.com! I bought paper/envelopes/enclosure cards for our invites and also several other invites I've done for relatives' weddings. That site is da bomb!
P.S. I would love to crash your wedding, I bet it's gonna be a blast! Kinda far for me to travel, though. :)
I LOVE your invitations! What font did you use for your names? It looks like Broadway, but it's not.
Amanda, the main font is Metro Retro from dafont!
