Snowy anger

Pretty much the day after I cleaned out the backyard and unearthed all my plants, this happened.
You gotta be kidding me.
We held up newly-shorn Lucius to check out the scene.
And he was just as upset about the snow as I was.  Or maybe he was pissed that he's cold all the time.
I must say, I'm loving having only one cat's worth of hair on my bed at the end of the day.
And he looks REAL CUTE, of course.

  1. We got a dusting of snow down near D.C. too and now I am throughly annoyed that I had to break out my winter coat again.

  2. It snowed in my mom's state, Iowa, today too! What's up with this weather? No wonder it was brisk today in Austin after a hot weekend and.. okay I will shut up now.

The cat - so cute! Looks so much tinier and younger now :) I thought it was a new kitty at first!

  3. I am right there with you! Cleared out all the beds last week....and now they are covered with snow. So happy I got rid of the semi-insulating leaves that were covering the newly sprouting plants. And to add insult to injury, our pups are actually excited about it. Come on spring!

  6. We had hoped to get in our yard this past weekend, but we got rain ALL weekend. Oh well, at least it wasn't snow!

  7. Oh geez that sucks. Nothing like getting completely inspired and excited about Spring and warm weather only for Mother Nature to come and trample on your excitement. BUT... your cute cat makes up for it surely :)

  8. I'm waiting for the same thing here. Unearthed tiny sedum and iris and allium yesterday.

  9. It won't last long, probably already gone.

Did you have your cat's fur cut? I've never heard of that. I have a cat that seems to shed his whole body every day!!!

  10. You shaved the cat? Holy...what the heck did I miss over here? You've been stuck inside too long.

Bummer about that snow stuff. I know everyone is about over this extended Winter. I'd send you a tropical wave if I could.

  11. We got a very small dusting on Sunday here in Richmond. I haven't given our Persian his Spring/Summer Lion's cut yet. last year I did it in March and he just wanted to stay cuddled up w/you all the time. I love the break from cat hair everywhere!

  12. That snow thing happened to us too a little while back!! A-N-N-O-Y-I-N-G!!!!...We had about 9 inches of snow in our backyard and it had all melted! Then came about 4 days of sunshine and seeming pre-Spring-ness...and then came what the weather man called a "Spring time Snow Storm"...UGH! You know the rest of the story...and so does your cat! ^_^

  14. First, your cat is the cutest cat ever! He looks so soft and cuddly. I keep trying to talk Bryan into letting us have a cat because I think the cat and Bindi will be BFF's forever (although in reality, Bindi will probably terrorize the cat).

Snow sucks in spring! I hope it warms up fast. We had really nice weather then it suddenly plummeted (around here they call it "Dogwood Winter" and there's more to come "Redbud Winter" and "Blackberry Winter". But hopefully those "winters" will be short and not so cold!

  17. At least it didn't stick around very long!

I work on the north side of Milwaukee and when I left work that day, it was sunny. So imagine my surprise when I pull off the interstate to Racine and it's snowing! Ugh, why can't it just be warm? Some of us want to start walking OUTSIDE

  18. What a pain! After all that hard work. =[

  19. I can't even comment on the snow because Lucius is too adorable to not earn the full attention of this comment. And I generally despise cats in real life - I'm allergic and they're normally never cute enough to inspire spontaneous snuggling. However, despite my allergies, were I in the same vicinity as Lucius I'm pretty sure I'd snuggle his fur right off. But then he'd be hairless. And probably not as cute. Good thing I'm far, far away.

Congrats on the Renest feature, BTW.

  20. Haven't you just about had it with the snow?

If I ever mean-mouth the heat and humidity....just smack me around a bit!!!

Waiting on the day when I do't need my winter coat to go outside. Hopefully soon.

    Expecting snow/mix Friday and Saturday.....CRAP!

  21. I'm not a big cat person, but I have a soft spot for gray ones!

I love the expression on his face in his second pic.

We thought that we were all done with snow here too :( but not so much.

  22. That cat is adorable!! I just want to pinch his cheeks!

We're supposed to get snow tonight. 2 weeks ago, it was 75 and sunny and my plants began to show a little green. It was wonderful! And now, it's just depressing again.....
