Eventually, I figured out the plain wall was a better backdrop for the photos, so I moved the carriage closer to the window instead of next to the crib. Lesson learned for next time.
I love the giant bear, he is the perfect accessory to prop up Ashford, and also is very photogenic. I had a great time taking these pics, I used the light from the window and also one of my stand lights to fill in the darkness on the other side. I really wish I'd paid more attention to my shutter speed and aperture to get clearer shots, but I guess I'm lucky I even remembered to take the lens cap off these days. Just kidding, I've lost every lens cap I ever bought for my camera. ha
And that signaled the end of the photo shoot. Hopefully the two month pics turn out even better! I'm not sure if I mentioned it yet, but at his 1 month appointment, he was 8 lbs 15 oz and 21.5 inches long. That is an increase of over 2 pounds and 2 inches since he was born! Baby likes to eat, what can I say.
He is so sweet! Love that you used that carriage for his 1 month photos!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!! And...he looks very wise...
ReplyDeleteHe is just too cute for words. I love the big bear and that that photos are in the carriage.
ReplyDeleteToo sweet!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! He looks like such a big boy! Maybe he can be Katie's boyfriend. It's ok with me if she goes for younger guys :)
ReplyDeleteadorable! he's so precious.
ReplyDeleteI am not usually one to ooh and aah over babies, but this little guy really is completely adorable. And you seem very happy. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteSara this makes my ovaries hurt. I was packing up some of Tate's stuff tonight and telling Dave that it is bittersweet to be at the end of the 'baby' stage. Enjoy every moment.

ReplyDeleteSo, so sweet!
Hope you are feeling great and getting some sleep.
B.
Too cute!
ReplyDeleteLove that used the carriage and bear!
What a cutie! Great pics!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie! And that carriage...and that bear. Perfect! So for the first three months of Carter's life I took really crappy photos. All the time. I thought the lack of sleep had wrecked my photo mojo. Until I figured out that a setting had inadvertently gotten switched. Now if I take a crappy photo it is the first thing I check. But now I have nothing left to blame other than myself.
ReplyDeleteAdorable.. my little guy was a major eater too.. he doubled his birth weight by 8 weeks!
ReplyDeleteAshford is beyond delicious, but the nose, oh the nose.... I could write sonnets about that squishy little dollop gracing his perfect round face! Cutest nose ever!
ReplyDeleteSo cute with the BIG BEAR.
