Huffington Post Feature

Hey everyone, I hope you had a wonderful new year!  We went out with my brother and his lady for NYE while my mom watched the little nugget, and it was divine.  There was champagne, party head gear, and sequins involved. Here is a photo to prove that I did not fall asleep on the couch at 10pm as initially planned...
Ok, this doesn't prove the time, but I assure you if you could see my raccoon eyes you would know this was about 5 hours past my normal bed time...or, 2am.

Enough about my shenanigans.  I wanted to share a link to a Huffington Post Home feature on our kitchen!  Amy contacted me before Christmas and asked if she could interview me for a little post on the kitchen renovation, how could I say no?  You can check it out here.

ps - I love how the first comment says that our kitchen is entirely underwhelming.  Awesome!

  3. Awesome! The comments there are always entertaining, no matter what the topic. I'm sure the person who left that comment has as much design knowledge as my mousepad.

  7. Congrats on the feature Sara! That's awesome. People are so ridiculous... those comments made me want to laugh. My favourite was "typical internet know-it-alls"... WHAT? hahaha OH PEOPLE! Whatever. I think you're kitchen is gorgeous and you guys did a great job! As long as you guys are loving it though, that's the most important part! HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

  12. Sara, I love your remodeled kitchen! What the Huff Post article doesn't make clear is the context of the remodel--you're young, in your first home, with a new family and a budget. If the article would have placed your remodel in the context of what it was, the readers would have understood (like your blog readers do!) how spectacular your new kitchen really is!

It's all about how we use our homes at the various stages in our lives--any good kitchen designer and contractor understands this and will advise accordingly. As a homeowner, you clearly know this, as well.

Frankly, I'm overwhelmed by your new kitchen! :-)
