While my brain is swimming with all the things on my kitchen 'to do' list, I thought I'd share a funny picture of the side of our kitchen that holds our sad, small refrigerator that cannot stay when we redo the room. Apparently, Boozie Susie tired easily while painting.
Which is my best explanation for why she painted only the inside of two cabinets with this awful color. Oh, and a little of the outside as well...
Imagine staring at that everytime you go for the peanut butter.
Boozey Susie is too funny! I think you should do a top 10 list of her finest work. With pics of course.
ReplyDeleteoh my! our kitchen is so gross... just waiting for nice weather to take the sledgehammer to it!
ReplyDeleteLOL - Sara you crack me up! I love how large your kitchen is -- the former owners of our house painted the underneath of the top cabinets light blue! I can't wait to paint over that mistake!
ReplyDeleteLOL. That is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! That is so.....interesting.
ReplyDeleteoh. my. god. Once again: I feel blessed that the woman who lived in our house liked simplicity. Or hated to paint. Either way, I'm good.
ReplyDeletehaha. makes me laugh. I have so been there.
ReplyDeleteReally liked mauve?? Hey at least you can laugh about it.
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck is going on here?
ReplyDeleteBoozie Suzie... don't mess with a woman and her peanut butter!
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck - that is so bizarre! LavenDon't, indeed!
ReplyDeleteYikes... Boozie Susie was quite the, uh, "colorful" character. She left her mark everywhere you turn!
ReplyDeleteLol. That's so strange!
ReplyDeleteDon't you sometimes wonder if former homeowners do some of these crazy things right before they move out just to mess with the new owners?
ReplyDelete"Hey, you know what we should do? Paint the inside cabinets this crazy purple color. Better yet? Only two of them. They won't know what the hell that means!"
By the way, you guys are SO quick with your projects. If you were living in my house, you would have so had our bathroom done by now. I'm a total slacker, but I bet you finish your kitchen in warp speed!
Ouch...that color just well, sucks! I would hate to look at it everyday. But, don't worry, you will have a fabulous kitchen in no time!!!
ReplyDeletePlease comment as often as you care to! You always have great advice! I'm really thinking about cream cabinets again. I love your idea of trying out a few different colors on two or three cabinets to make sure we've made the best decision. And seriously, I only had the 'eureka' beadboard moment today. Maybe I'm telepathically hearing your advice before you comment?
ReplyDeleteIf I can have a house half as cute as yours, I'll be happy. All of your 'after' photos are so impressive!!
AH! No me gusta. what was that woman thinking? Oh right.. booze.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I love your blog and your home is amazing. You inspire me!
ReplyDeleteSecond, You are not the only one with lavender interior cabinets! Every cabinet in my kitchen is painted lavender on the inside and the grout between our tiles is dirty, dirty lavender. I don't dare try to clean it as it might be made more purple.
I love purple. But lavender? In my kitchen??? I'll have to post about it and send you the link one of these days!
