I LOVE the floors!!! I am jealous, but I don't know why. We have dark hard wood floors too! (luckily they were refinished right before we bought the house).
And, I really did giggle out loud at you saying you don't paint your nails. I think renovations made me low maintenance for life. My nails always looked bad. I always had dots of paint on my hands, arms and legs. And, I still don't do my nails.
My name is Sara. I am a home owner/renovator, photographer, and stay at home mom in the Chicago area trying to cram all kinds of projects into the time my sons are at school. Ashford is 7, and our second baby Zach just turned 4, so things are pretty busy around here! I like slightly inappropriate humor, craft beer, and stalking house blogs. I love starting new DIY projects and sometimes hate finishing them. I love taking portraits of families, children and couples whenever I can. This blog is all about the projects my husband and I tackle, the projects that fizzle, and the funny things that happen to us along the way.
I had the same look last week!
ReplyDeleteAlso, those floors are looking gooood!!
Your floor color looks amazing!!!

The floors look amazing - and your nails look super creepy!!! It's a mighty fine zombie manicure though! :)
ReplyDeleteBahaha! Hilarious! That is exactly how your hands look.
ReplyDeleteThose floors are looking so sexy! I am whistling and cat calling it all the way from Georgia. Gosh, I love beautiful hardwoods!
Of course you would have Zombie hands after creating floors that are to DIE for (har har) lol!!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure about the nail colour but your floors look good! xx
ReplyDeleteThat is equal parts hilarious and terrifying! Zombies are the only thing that freak me out!
ReplyDeleteHA! My husband had those going on this weekend! Please do a floor how-to!
ReplyDeleteMy bad- you already did a floor how-to and it was awesome and I just went back and read it and now (again) bow down to your DIY skills. :)
ReplyDeleteQuite the look - may be a new trend for us in the wonderful world of DIY... like a badge of honour (sorry for my Canadian-ness) or something...
ReplyDeleteLove the floors! They are going to be gorgeous (and make the nails totally worth it).
ReplyDeleteNice Nails.
ReplyDeleteI hope you didn't paint (stain) yourself into the corner.
