Speaking of baby, and because a post without pictures is ZZZZZ, here's me at 34 weeks...as of yesterday, I'm 35 weeks and THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING FOLKS.
I look 'officially' pregnant no matter what I wear, and strange people are starting to ask my due date...guess there's no denying it now.
This might be my favorite belly pic yet:
I do a great cross-eye. And here's one of me holding up a printout of my hubby when he was wee, given to me by my mother in law. I love it! I can only hope that our little boy looks just like dad.
As for me, all my vitals are great, baby is great, I've gained 31 pounds, and I'm extremely tired 24/7. I think I might miss out on that 'last trimester nesting/energy' thing I keep hearing about? Maybe it will come later when I'm even more huge and resorting to adult diapers. My biggest complaint is the constant pressure on my bladder, but I just deal with it the best I can. I got a maternity belt and it helps a little bit. I'm also sleeping like doodoo, but I should just get used to it, eh? (insert half-hearted laugh here)
PS - Does anyone else wonder how the heck Jessica Simpson is still pregnant? She looked 5 months along last Halloween! It's a mystery that is occupying way more of my brain cells than it should right now. I need resolution.
I've been wondering about Jessica Simpson, too!! How is it possible that she's still pregnant? Anyhoo, just wait til the last two weeks - if you're like me, you'll wake up hoping each day is THE day - yes, so you can meet your awesome baby, but also so you won't be pregnant anymore. :) So over it! (BTW, you look so cute!)
ReplyDeleteOne last thing - speaking of people asking you your due date, I was chatting with a Z Gallerie employee yesterday and he asked how long I had left - when I said two weeks, he said, "Yeah, I can see that!" Sigh.
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome. I agree on Jessica Simpson. It probably seems to be lasting longer because she hasn't said a due date other than "spring"
ReplyDeleteAs for the 3rd trimester nesting/burst of energy... Yeah that never happened for me. I kept waiting for it in hopes that I'd finish some projects, but no such luck!
Love that dress! (where's it from?) Totally feel you on both Jessica Simpson (hoping I'm not as big as her by the end, though I can see myself headed that way - how do i still have 7 weeks left?) and exhaustion. Good luck the last few weeks!
ReplyDeleteJessica Simpson is still preggo? I totally thought she would've had that baby by now!? She's HUGE! There's no way she's sleeping at all!!
ReplyDeleteYOU on the other hand look adorable, and I am so glad things are going well. I remember that not sleeping well stuff (while still pregnant haha).
I'm sure the nesting will come soon! Mine started after I started mat leave (before baby came), and I was so torn. I wanted to nest like crazy... but I also wanted to sit with my feet up as I knew those opportunities would be few and far between after baby came. I'd say not too worry too much about nesting though... enjoy relaxing time alone, and anytime with your man that you can get too! ;)
Jessica Simpson...don't even get me started. and you look GREAT!!
ReplyDeleteI was just saying the same thing about Jessica Simpson. She has been pregnant for at least a year!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing. How exciting!
Exciting times! Best wishes. You look great in your dress.
ReplyDeleteJustine, the dress is from Motherhood, but it was given to me by my girlfriend who bought it for her pregnancy in 2009 :(
ReplyDeleteSorry I can't help you find it now!
So cute! I love baby bellies!!
ReplyDeleteYou seriously look adorable :) Not too much longer - wow!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable! Not too long now :-)
ReplyDeleteand yes, Jessica Simpson has pregnant forever.
I thought Jessica Simpson had her baby already and it was an emergency birth or something.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I wish I looked as good at 34 weeks as you do! I gained it all over especially in my face. You look all belly so you will be back to pre pregnancy shape in no time I bet! Jealous!
I also wonder about Jessica Simpson. But if being pregnant will teach you anything, it's this: never comment on the size of another woman's bump, and never use the phrase 'ready to pop' unless you know they really are! In fact... no, just never use it.
ReplyDeleteYou look great, btw!
Hi! I found your blog through Hi Sugarplum. Congratulations on the upcoming arrival of your little one! I'm also from SE WI & my husband & I just had our first child (a baby boy) at the end of March! It's a wonderful experience! Congrats, again! I will definitely be following you!
ReplyDeleteYour in the home stretch now. I won't be long until you meet your little guy. All the best for a restful end of your pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteLooking great, lady!! I wondered the same thing about J Simps! Modern mysteries... ; )
ReplyDeleteLove those belly pics! You look faboulous. By 35 weeks I was one swollen mess who could not walk up stairs because my back hurt so much.
ReplyDeleteI think the only reason the nesting urge hit me was that I am a procrastinator by nature and suddenly a deadline was looming. So all the stuff I had been putting off HAD to be done.
You look so awesome! I'm so excited for you! I'm interested in this belly belt. My poor internal organs are getting a workout with all this extra pressure. Ick.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures...you are almost there! Love the drapes in the baby room, good choice going with the block out panel...every little bit helps if you want the little to sleep in.
