This is the 'burpless' variety and the seeds are smaller than grocery store cukes. It was tasty! I also have some squash and zucchini that are ready to be picked, so I'm looking forward to making myself a stir fry or kabobs this weekend. Have a great one!

ReplyDeleteIf only I weren't so darn lazy, I'd get moving on some crops of my own! (I like to think the laziness is due to being a renter....and not having a yard....but really those are just excuses aren't they?)
Isn't gardening great? I've been enjoying fresh bruschetta several times a week with the tomatoes and basil from my garden. I always get sad when September comes and my plants die off.
ReplyDeleteHooray for the harvest beginning! Our tomato plants are growing like crazy. You'd think we were giving them steroids or something! I'll have to do a post on them soon. There are so many green tomatoes on the plants right now, I can't wait to start harvesting them all!! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWe just picked a cucumber yesterday, too. I Love it! I can hardly stand it, I have to eat it right away. I put ours in vinegar with salt and pepper. Oh dear, so yummy!

Jealous! Last year our cucumbers were a total bust so I didn't plant any this year. Guess we'll be running over to my inlaws to steal some!
