Back to reality

We've had a very productive holiday season, worked on a lot of projects, and now we're enjoying this scene on our last night before regular work weeks resume (BOO):

It is divine.  I've got some great posts coming this week, including the final dressing room pictures (it's almost done!) and a new room Shaun decided to tackle even though he told me I'M not allowed to start any new projects.  What the heck?  Here is a teaser I found on my camera after he got started while I was at work:

Oh yeah, it's a doozie.  Hope everyone's New Years festivities were as memorable as this wallpaper was!

  1. That picture is so relaxing and makes me want to snuggle up by the fire. I am returning to work tomorrow as well and this break has not been long enough.

Can't wait to see the next project!

  5. That's your living room? Wow! It's so cozy. I love your white fireplace and bookshelves. I'd be afraid to choose such rich colors, but it looks great in your home! (Maybe I'll paint our fireplace...)

  9. 1. BOO to having a day job.
    2. Removing wallpaper sucks.
    3. Is that a gas log or a real wood burning roaring fire?

  10. Amanda, that is a duraflame log with WOOD on top. We don't have a gas insert, we like old-fashioned crackling of sawed up pallets and old trim pieces. ha
